Yoga is for everyone
Yoga is a gentle exercise which tones and revitalises the body while relaxing the mind and spirit. Practise will make your body supple and healthy, increase your self confidence and reveal a deep sense of inner peace. My teaching style puts the emphasis on breathing practices and relaxation techniques.
I believe yoga should be a breath of fresh air, not an arduous challenge!
The main purpose is to find that balance between effort and relaxation,
focussing the mind for meditation and freeing your spirit to experience bliss.
About your teacher: Zoë Heald
Iíve been teaching yoga on Mull and Iona for over 7 years, having moved up here from London to escape the rat race! Having said that, I do still love city life and now find a balance between my peaceful existence on the Ross of Mull and more frenetic visits to the city. My family have been on Mull for over 25 years, so having a personal knowledge of the area, I can show you the hidden gems of the Ross of Mull.
I began studying and practising yoga in Japan in 1994 . I graduated as Yoga Teacher and Master of Yoga at the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre in Nassau 7 years ago, having previously practised under the tutelage of
the British Wheel of Yoga and the Satyananda Centre in London.
My style of teaching encompasses all my experience and training. I bring an emphasis to breathwork and relaxation in my classes. Students are taught correct alignment and with experience are able to find this intuitively. Ultimately, I want to guide my students to finding that ineffable sense of rightness and inner peace that comes from whole-hearted yoga practice.
